Trip to Spiritual destination Uluru

This is a post dedicated for my trip to Uluru.

Uluru/Ayers Rock is the place in Northern Territory in Australia.

This place of utmost spiritual importance to the aboriginals in Australia.

We decided to visit this place with few of our family friends.

The journey started with King Canyon visit first.

Firstly we did Rim walk which was a 6.5 kms of steep up and down hike. We had young kids with us .It was raining too but everyone enjoyed it. There is beautiful water fall on the walk and it called Eden fall. it is believed that the spirits of ancient people still reside there.

So you need to quite and enjoy the silence while sitting there at the water fall.

There are beautiful places where you can watch sunrise and sunset.

The beauty of sunset cant be explain with words.

Then we headed to Uluru from King Canyon . It is approximately 3.5hrs journey by drive.

As soon as you see the glimpses of Ayers Rock it mesmerizes you.

The same evening we went to see the sunset.

The color of the rock changes with the sun rays falling on it.

That was the first time I saw it from near and tears started rolling my eyes.

It was involuntary and uncontrollable. It touched me deeply.

The next morning we headed to see the sunrise in the backdrop of Ayer Rock.

It was a beauty to behold in the eyes. As soon as the sun rays falls on the rock you can see different shades of sunlight on the rocks.

Then we headed to Uluru Base Walk. It is approximately 10kms.

The Ayers Rock is a massive sandstone.

The history goes to millions of years.

The name is derived by different people according to their theories.

You can feel the energy, positivity and grandeur of the rock.

there are few beautiful water spots which are so beautiful and serene and quite.

You just want to sit there and absorb all the positivity from the surrounding.

The next day we went to Valley of Wind hike.

It was as if you were touching the sky.

There were small spring of water flowing, roars of wind and view of the valley.

This is how our trip ended. The experience of this visit cannot be justified by words. It is the experience to live itself.

  • Being a healthcare practitioner I  have come across kids who have developed developmental problems due to exposure to screens at early age.
  • This can range from cranky behaviour of the kids to showing delayed milestones or traits of autism.
  • I think in this busy schedule, parents feel this is the easy and convenient way to keep kids busy.
  • But the day any kid gets his hands on the devices their creativity is lost.
  • The visual activity and speed of the videos/ games or whatever they are doing activates their neurological reflexes.
  • If they start spending much time on screen they expect same response from every activity and person around them. They become impatient and restless.
  • Slowly this makes them violent as things are not done according to their desire
  • I guess it is easy for parents to give them some devices so parents can use theirs.
  • Kids especially toddlers learn from examples so if we set right example in front of them they will learn from it.
  • We as parents need to put efforts rather lot of efforts to minimise unnecessary use of electronic devices.
  • Several studies have shown that this affects the overall development of kids, delays the important milestones.
  • This behaviour makes them shy and they have low confidence as they are not aware of the behaviour in the social circle.
  • The observation power is lost and this leads to physical health issues.
  • During Pandemic, when kids were stuck at home the cases of eye disorders like myopia, dry eyes etc.

In my recent clinical experience, I realised there are an increasing number of dental issues with kids along with their allergy component.

So let’s see how they are correlated.

  •  When kids have chronic nasal congestion they breathe by mouth. So in developing children this results in the crooked development of teeth.

Anxiety and Stress

Stress words make us feel stressed.

Nowadays school kids use this so casually.

I know this is the topic which we have been listening to and reading everywhere.

However I was compelled to write as I have been seeing a lot of patients around me specially females with these complaints related to stress and anxiety.

A New Year’s Starting

A 12-year-old’s Point Of View:

Last year was an amazing year. (2023)

The first year after all COVID restrictions were removed, which meant travelling around and meeting relatives.

January was just the starting,

February was when school started and March was when I went to India.

April was a school holiday,

May was the beginning of school again, and June was a celebration of being halfway through the year.

In July I went to the Gold Coast, and August, September and October were just a normal month of school.

November was when I went to India for the second time. The best part about that was I got to skip school for three and a half weeks, a dream come true!

December was exciting because it was the final month of the year and because I went to a waterpark as part of the school’s excursion. Then my Christmas holidays started. I went on a camp for Christmas and had a blast! Then after what felt like a decade, it hit the 31st of December as I eagerly waited for midnight with my family and friends. 5..4..3..2..1.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It is now 2024 and I have no regrets. My highlights of the past year were going to India twice, the trip to the Gold Coast, going to the waterpark and the Christmas Camp. So basically all major events that happened!

Bye Bye 2023 and welcome to 2024. I already know I will enjoy the year ahead and I hope you will enjoy it too.
